A Platform for Progress and Principled Leadership
This campaign starts from a simple belief: every person deserves dignity, opportunity, and a real say in the decisions that shape their lives. For too long, working people have been told to be grateful for a “living wage” while costs soar and rights are chipped away.
Randy Flowers is running for Congress to fight for a thriving wage, safe and stable communities, strong public schools, and a democracy that answers to voters—not billionaires and extremists. His platform is grounded in the everyday realities of workers, families, and seniors across this district, and in a promise to put people first, every single time.
CORE ISSUES And commitments
Unions and Workers’ Rights
Randy believes unions are essential to rebuilding the middle class and protecting workers from exploitation. He supports strong collective bargaining rights, opposes union‑busting tactics, and will fight for safe workplaces, fair scheduling, and benefits that respect the dignity of labor. Randy stands firmly in favor of the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act.
Thriving Wages and Affordable Living
Working families should not be one paycheck away from disaster. Too many people are being crushed by the rising cost of everyday life, from housing and transportation to groceries, utilities, and essential insurance. No one working full‑time should be trapped in poverty or forced to choose between medicine, rent, and food. Every family deserves the chance to live with stability, dignity, and the ability to meet basic needs without fear of what the next month will bring. Randy will fight for thriving wages and truly affordable living—housing, transportation, fuel, groceries, utilities, and insurance (homeowners, auto, health, life, and burial). No one should have to choose which basic need to go without just to make it to the end of the month.
Protecting Seniors & Honoring a Lifetime of Work
Our elders, once honored as part of “the Greatest Generation,” are too often treated as if they’ve outlived their usefulness. They deserve better. They did their part for this nation—in war, in work, in raising families and building communities. Now they deserve to live out their days with security, dignity, and comfort. That means protecting Social Security from cuts, strengthening Medicare and Medicaid so seniors can see a doctor, afford prescriptions, and get long‑term care, and reforming property taxes so people aren’t taxed out of the homes and neighborhoods they built. No senior in this district should have to choose between medicine, groceries, and keeping a roof overhead.
Keeping Our Promise to Veterans
Our veterans volunteered to serve in active duty. Now it’s our duty to serve them. That means fully staffing VA hospitals and clinics to reduce wait times and ensure every veteran receives high‑quality care—physical, mental, and emotional. We must invest in mental health services, PTSD treatment, and strong suicide‑prevention programs so no veteran falls through the cracks. They served our country with honor; now our country must keep its promise to serve them.
Safeguard the Constitution and Restore Checks and Balances
Our Constitutional Republic is under direct threat from leaders who reject accountability and undermine the rule of law. Randy will work to restore real checks and balances, defend the Bill of Rights, and resist any attempt to normalize authoritarianism or strip away our fundamental freedoms.
Protect Immigrant Families and End I.C.E. Abuses
Randy supports disarming, demilitarizing, and defunding I.C.E. and holding its agents and leadership accountable for human rights abuses. He will fight to protect and defend immigrant families, end cruel detention and deportation practices, and build an immigration system rooted in dignity, due process, and respect for human life.
Protecting the Rights and Lives of Transgender People
Transgender people are human beings who have the right to exist, live openly, and move through this country without persecution. Randy will fight against laws and policies that target trans people, and support protections in health care, employment, housing, education, and public life so that every trans person can live with safety, dignity, and respect.
Defending LGBTQ Rights and Dignity
LGBTQ people deserve dignity and the freedom to live without fear, hatred, or persecution. Randy will fight for true equality in law and in daily life—protecting LGBTQ people from discrimination, violence, and erasure, and defending their right to build families, livelihoods, and futures in safety.
Build a Renewable Energy Grid
We can create good‑paying jobs and protect our planet at the same time. Randy supports investing in a modern, renewable energy grid that lowers costs for families, reduces pollution in our communities, and prepares our region for a clean energy future.
Agriculture and Innovative Farming
Our family farmers feed America and power our rural communities. We need policies that help them thrive—not just survive.
Support Innovative Farming: Invest in climate‑smart practices, soil health, and water conservation so farmers can increase yields while protecting the land for the next generation. Expand E15 & Biofuels: Make year‑round E15 and advanced biofuels a permanent part of our energy mix to cut fuel costs, reduce emissions, and create good jobs in rural America. Strengthen the Farm Safety Net: Protect crop insurance, expand access to credit, and give small and mid‑sized family farms real leverage against giant agribusiness monopolies.
Local Food & Rural Economies: Boost local processing, farmers markets, and farm‑to‑school programs so more of every food dollar stays in our communities.
Automatic Voter Registration
Democracy works best when every eligible citizen can participate. Randy supports automatic voter registration so that every eligible young person is added to the voter rolls as soon as they reach voting age. No one should lose their voice because of confusing paperwork or needless hurdles. Automatic registration makes our democracy stronger, fairer, and more representative.
Polling Places
Elections must be free from intimidation, manipulation, and needless barriers. Randy will fight for safe polling places, expanded early voting, and accessible locations and hours—so no one is blocked by long lines, artificial restrictions, or fear.
Restore Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Affirmative Action
Randy believes diversity, equity, inclusion, and affirmative action are vital tools for correcting historic injustice and opening doors of opportunity. He will oppose efforts to roll back DEI programs and work to ensure that schools, workplaces, and institutions reflect and respect the full diversity of our communities.
End Poverty: A Policy Failure We Can Fix
Poverty is not a moral failure; it is a policy failure. We have the resources to end poverty in this country, but not yet the political will. Randy will champion policies that raise incomes, expand access to housing and health care, and build a true social safety net so every person can live with stability and dignity.
These issues are not abstract talking points—they shape real lives right here at home. Parents are working two and three jobs to cover rent and child care. Black and Brown communities are still targeted by voter suppression. Workers are being pushed out of stable, union jobs while corporate profits soar.
Randy’s platform is built from these lived realities and the stories he hears across the district—not from party bosses or D.C. insiders.
“We need a leader who remembers us—the workers, the veterans, the caregivers, the neighbors who actually keep this community going. Randy Flowers is that voice.”
